Villa Frisiani Mereghetti, built in 1652 at the behest of Gottardo Frisiani, a member of one of the most important local patrician families, was designed by architect Francesco Maria Richini, famous for works such as the extension of the Ospedale Maggiore in Milan, the courtyard of the Brera Academy and the Church of San Giuseppe.
